— PhD Thesis
Title: Store and Brand Name Effects on Consumer Purchase Decision-Making
Description: The thesis investigated how brand and store names affect consumer purchase intentions. Results from a survey and an online experiment suggest store names fulfil similar roles as brand names. However when brand and store names are both available, brand names have a greater influence on purchase intent than store names.

researched good practice DBA supervision and delivery models. Twenty-one
Australian universities offer DBA programs with an estimated number of up
to 2,000 enrolments, yet DBA supervision is under-researched and attrition is
of concern. The DBA is distinct from the PhD in that it aims to develop
researching professionals in business/management. This project will map
the characteristics and learning needs of candidates, examine supervision
delivery models and develop measurement tool the Supervision Style Index,
to analyse supervisory practices. Findings will provide a framework for
university managers to assess and develop good practice in supervision and
delivery models. The research and dissemination practices will develop a
community of practice among DBA Directors of Research Training. In the
longer term the framework will be beneficial to on-going development of
resource and enhanced completion rates.
